Habia was reconstituted in 2000 to allow a wider membership structure. A Board of Directors elected from the Habia UK Council directs Habia's activities. The UK Council comprises representatives from industry associations, salon owners, industry professionals, colleges, training providers and educators. This enables Habia to truly represent the industries we are responsible for.
The Board meets frequently and is responsible for ensuring Habia meets its objectives. The Chairman represents Habia at ministerial level and chairs both Council and Board meetings.
Seperate industry forums meet to steer individual projects and advise on standards and qualification issues, whilst the national forums help ensure issues from each of the our nations are taken into consideration when deciding policy.
Habia also has a membership programme, open to everyone in the hair, beauty, nails and spa industries. Our membership includes students, lecturers, training providers, colleges, industry professionals, salon owners, associations and manufacturers, all of whom play a role in influencing the future direction of Habia.
