Hygiene
Attention to hygiene and infection control are an important part of delivering beauty therapy treatments. The ever changing range of treatments means this needs to be kept under review for the protection of clients and therapists alike. The growth of intimate waxing, the provision of complementary snacks as well as drinks, new viruses, antibiotic resitant bacteria - all present new considerations for preventing cross infection.
For that reason, Habia has produced a booklet to give therapists information about the types of infection that occur in a salon, the requirements of the law and inspection, and practical advice on how to avoid the spread of infection.

The guidance does not cover procedures for piercing other than of the ear lobe using single-cartridge equipment and mirco-pigmentation.
