The Habia National Health and Safety Awards, organised by Habia with support from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and local authorities, showcases those salons that have already achieved the regional award but have gone beyond what is normally required and set an example to their fellow salons.

Salons are nominated by their local authority through a supporting statement.  The salons themselves must then submit a portfolio explaining the health and safety initiatives they have implemented.  Winning salons are announced each year at Salon International in October.
