Habia's Health and Safety Award is designed to recognise salons that have met the highest criteria in terms of health and safety and help consumers make an informed choice.  

To achieve the award, salons must meet the criteria set out in an 18 point plan covering health and safety issues that are enforceable by law and best practice.   

Salons can only hold the award for one year before they need to reapply to ensure that standards are maintained.
