Erik Lander
Erik Lander has been the Habia Skills Team Manager since 2006.

He has been hairdressing now for 24 years, and is from a family of hairdressers who have built up an excellent reputation within the UK industry, thus giving him a strong and secure support base. It is this base which has given him an underpinning knowledge of the craft, which he then expanded with thorough training.
As well as managing the salon Erik also conducts training courses for Habia and other product manufacturers, which takes him around the UK and overseas.
Erik started his career in the family salon, working his way through the ranks to eventually be partner in the business. Not one for standing still, he then ventured into the training side of things, after completing his L3 Licentiateship (LCGI) and the teaching, assessing and verifying units. After winning the national modern apprenticeship competition and being one of the first people to achieve the qualification, he applied to become one of the founder members of the Habia Skill Team.
He works with the Skill Team all over the world demonstrating the latest techniques and promoting the NVQ/HIQ standards. Erik gained promotion to Habia Skill Team Art Director which he held for 2 years then achieved the next goal and became Habia's International Educator/Skill Team Manager, which remains his role today.Erik says, 'Hairdressing was always what I wanted to get into. I knew I could be running my own business by the time I was 25 and the other opportunities available through hairdressing are limitless. As a hairdresser I travel overseas regularly, work at the cutting edge of fashion and get to meet interesting people all the time. No two days are ever alike and I can't imagine doing anything else.'
