Habia International Qualifications (HIQs) are directly related to the competence and performance required by employers in the workplace. Aimed at the international market, they were developed by Habia in response to demands from overseas employers and educators who wanted training programmes based on the UK system.

Like NVQs and SVQs, HIQs are based on the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and are made up of separate units that set out exactly what a learner must be able to do and to what standard, with each unit representing a training target for building up credits towards a final certificate.
