Habia and Professional Beauty are bringing the main event for educators back to Manchester Central, on Monday 19th September, to give colleges an essential insight into the needs of employers.
This is the fifth Education Forum we've held and this year we have an employer panel that includes many key employers, plus input on a new Learning to be Employable report and the development of Dermal Therapies in Australia. We also have an Ofsted Inspector/Consultant discussing good examples around the theme of Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare. Not forgetting that all delegates who attend this event will be allocated CPD points.
Lecturers can hear from top employers and sector specialists about skills they want to see in young therapists emerging into the industry, as well as the developments affecting the sector.
This year's topics include:
- How companies are developing and what products/services are being introduced.
- What colleges should focus on to meet the needs of the beauty industry.
- Key highlights of the recent Learning to be Employable report, identifying the skills that employers want and giving a framework to teach them in an FE setting.
- Ready to Learn, Ready to Work, helping providers to improve learners' self-confidence and prepare them for the world of work.
