CPD points with added value endorsed by Habia.

The MASCED (Melanoma and Skin Cancer Early Detection) Programme which is endorsed by Habia and worth 2 CPD points has seen phenomenal success in the first 8 months, since its launch in January this year.

The educational Accreditation programme was developed by national melanoma and skin cancer charity Skcin, to harness the power of professionals across the hair, health and beauty industries who have regular, close observation of their client’s skin, by training them how to identify the early signs of skin cancer, aiding early diagnosis and treatment, improving prognosis and saving lives.

Over 7,500 hair, health and beauty industry professionals have already signed up to the training programme, with 98% rating it 5 stars.

Skin cancer is the most common and fastest rising cancer in the UK. Melanoma, the deadliest form of the disease is now one of the biggest killing cancers in 15-34 year olds and 1 in 54 people in the UK will be diagnosed during their lifetime.

Ignorance regarding the early signs and symptoms remains widespread, so learning how to spot suspicious lesions and alerting your client to take action could prevent them from disfigurement through surgery or even prevent their death.

By taking part in the MASCED Accreditation programme, you can become a powerful advocate in the fight against this devastating disease, offering your clients a potentially life-saving service.

The course costs just £20 and you’ll receive your personal MASCED Guide and resources via post as well as access to the online resources and accreditation e-course.

To join the thousands of UK industry professionals already Accredited, you can register to take part or find out more at www.MASCED.UK

Marie Tudor National Business Development Manager quoted “We have been truly amazed by the success of our MASCED training. The sheer numbers that have registered and taken part up is truly helping to raise awareness and the reports of skin cancer being diagnosed is testament exactly to why the training was set up, training eyes to save lives. Please sign up today and help us in our fight against skin cancer”
