As the industry standard setting body, we are fully committed to ensuring that our industry occupational standards are the best in the world. We are here to support you, the educators who are vital in delivering the next generation of trained and competent professionals.
Our Educator Training offer is second to none. Since Habia Skills Academy launched in 2013, we have upskilled over 200 educators in identified skills-gaps areas, many gaining new qualifications in areas such as Advanced (L4) Male Grooming, L4 IPL, L3 Hair Extensions and Advanced (L4) Ladies Hairdressing.
We also run one day CPD courses in specialist areas such as Hair and Scalp Disorders, Business Skills and Inspirational Teaching, along with a range of more traditional ‘skills’ based courses.
Standards & Qualifications
Habia is responsible for setting the standards that form the basis of all qualifications in hair and beauty including NVQs, SVQs, Apprenticeships and Foundation degrees as well as industry codes of practice. Internationally, we work with partners to help implement the UK standards in their own countries – standards that are held with high regards.
Endorsement is for any organisation that offers training and would like to follow best practice, upskill, and strengthen their systems and processes to ensure they are leaders of recognised training within their industry.
We provide a wide range of learning resources and books to help you get the best from yourself and your learners. Our materials, including books, DVDs and e-learning software, geared specifically to the programmes we help design, meaning you always have access to the most authoritative and accurate teaching resources available. To meet changing standards, we have launched a number of new products including an exclusive modular offer from Pivot Point Salonability.
The Register for Beauty Professionals
The Register of Beauty Professionals were launched to recognise professionals who hold the appropriate industry qualifications and are committed to maintaining professional standards. They have been strongly supported, particularly by industry employers and a number of colleges and private training organisations have already committed to enrolling their qualifying students giving them a great start in their chosen career.
We organise a number of events each year for educators and training providers including industry networking events and National Occupational Standards (NOS) workshops. Check our events list regularly for the latest information.
